Right before leaving town, we were lucky enough to schedule this little cutie’s one year baby portraits. She was a tough cookie to crack but once Mom and Dad teamed up we got some beautiful smiles. I loved her layered, coordinating outfit, it was perfect for the beautiful afternoon we had. Thanks again for a wonderful session!!!

I had so much fun with this sweet family. They were so easy going and luckily the weather cooperated. They lived just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach! So we got some indoor, individual pictures of baby Wyatt and then family portraits at the beach! Such a great way to say goodbye to Santa Cruz! Thanks for a wonderful session!!!

A beautiful morning at a Santa Barbara beach with a wonderful family. This was sweet Miss M’s first time at the beach. She absolutely loved it. It is so perplexing how fast children grow, it all flies by in an instant. Photography captures the truth about childhood: childhood is fleeting. From the moment a child enters this world they encounter change. It is inevitable. Hold onto today.

I have been part of this family’s life for almost three years. It makes me so incredibly happy to be able capture images of these children, just as they are, over and over again. They have each changed so much in the time that I have known them and through these photographs each major milestone can be cherished forever. It is so important to photograph or video your child, they will be able to have these keepsakes for years to come.

Happy Second Birthday to one of my dearest friends. Blakey it has been a joy and an honor to watch you grow, I love you little buddy! Hold onto today.

A beautiful Mother’s Day in Santa Barbara

Happy Mother’s Day to mamas everywhere (especially my own. I love you so much, you’re an amazing woman!) This year a few families celebrated with me by capturing beautiful images or purchasing gift certificates as presents for the wonderful mother’s in their own lives.

You may recognize this beautiful family from her newborn photos. Miss S is now 6 months old, she has grown so much it is amazing! However, she still looks very much like her newborn self. I find it so silly when people say all newborns/babies look the same… They are all different unique and beautiful in their own way. This session was so wonderful, we captured some truly lovely images. Happy Mother’s Day, Robin!

Sweetest Sixteen Moments of 2009

Here is another way to say goodbye to 2009. I want to thank each family I have photographed this year. I truly enjoyed each of you and cannot wait to capture more images of you in 2010. I went through each session and picked out my favorite image, then I narrowed those all the way down to 15… Well actually 16 because I just couldn’t get rid of one of these images. Each of these images captured an awesome moment that I absolutely love. These were my favorite favorites of 2009!

Now I need you to vote for your favorite favorite image! The family with the most votes at Midnight of January 15th will win a fabulous prize… The wonderful client that wins the prize will receive an 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas of the winning image, valued at $355!
