California Children’s Photographer | Another Year, Another Photo

I absolutely love my job. It offers me the flexibility to travel around the country and do family portraits. In October, I went home to Santa Barbara and held a few family sessions. This little guy and his mama have been letting me take their annual holiday photo for two years now and it is an absolute joy. Check out Diego’s family portrait on the beach from last year. He has grown a lot, but is absolutely still a little charmer.

Watching children grow is another one of my favorite things about this job! Thank you so much for another fantastic year = )

I had a great time photographing this boy. This age is so fun, but challenging because they have so much energy! We played peek-a-boo, sang songs, and Mama even played chase. It was quite fun. There are so many great parks in Chicago to photograph. Thank you for coming out!

I have been photographing this family before their youngest was even born! So naturally, anytime I get the opportunity I am there in a heartbeat. It has been so amazing to watch these boys grow up. They truly are the most well behaved and loving brothers I have ever met. Congratulations to M&S for raising such lovely gentlemen =) As always, it was a joy to photograph your boys!!!

I have been photographing this fantastic family since little Miss S was a tiny newborn. She has grown so much in the last year it is truly amazing. Miss S is lucky to have two fantastic parents, whose love for each other and there sweet baby girl is ever present. I will absolutely miss you and can’t wait to see how big you are on my next visit home!

Surprise Road Trip

My closest friend, Jen Wright moved to Georgia almost nine months ago, making her actually my furthest friend. We still talk allthe time but it just isn’t the same. When she told me she was coming to California I was so happy. Jen was going to be around the San Diego area with her friend Carrie, but wouldn’t have a car. This meant I would have to drive, ugh! I hate driving!!! I decided it would be really fun to surprise her, so I told her I wasn’t going to be able to make it. She was sooooo happy when I showed up at her friend’s house.

We even got to photograph Carrie’s beautiful girls. They were so sweet and so much fun. Thank you all again, I had such a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful time!!!!

Miss J didn’t take a good nap before our shoot, so we got off to a little bit of a rough start in the afternoon. She was a bit grumpy for the first part of our portrait session, but in the end we got some beautiful smiles from her. I had a lovely time, thank you so much for your support of Haiti!

Sweetest Sixteen Moments of 2009

Here is another way to say goodbye to 2009. I want to thank each family I have photographed this year. I truly enjoyed each of you and cannot wait to capture more images of you in 2010. I went through each session and picked out my favorite image, then I narrowed those all the way down to 15… Well actually 16 because I just couldn’t get rid of one of these images. Each of these images captured an awesome moment that I absolutely love. These were my favorite favorites of 2009!

Now I need you to vote for your favorite favorite image! The family with the most votes at Midnight of January 15th will win a fabulous prize… The wonderful client that wins the prize will receive an 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas of the winning image, valued at $355!
