Here are the last set of images from our fundraiser for “Kids Fight Cancer.” Thank you so much to the families who participated in this event. I really appreciate it. It was so wonderful to meet all of you and your children were an absolute joy to photograph. Thanks again and now I must go take a nap… That was a LONG day!!! =)

These images are from this morning’s “Kid Fight Cancer” fundraiser. I had 7 families sign up and I am so excited to head back out shortly to continue this beautiful day of mini sessions! It was a bit chilly this morning but we were still able to capture some lovely photos. Thank you again for participating and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photographs of your children! Chicago Photographer | Mini Sessions to benefit “Kids Fight Cancer”

Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15, every day children lose their battle with cancer. Funding for research and treatment of pediatric cancer has increased tremendously in the past few years, but there is always a need for more help. Julia Franzosa Photography will be organizing a mini-session event on April 9th to benefit a local organization helping children and families that are battling cancer. Kids Fight Cancer is a local organization that “provides pediatric and adolescent cancer patients with a safe, educational and entertaining environment which reduces the stresses, side effects and emotional struggles confronted during cancer treatment.” 100% of the session fees will be donated to Kids Fight Cancer.

We are having a one-day photography fundraising event to benefit local organization “Kids Fight Cancer” on Saturday, April 9th.

What: Kids Fight Cancer Mini Session Fundraiser!

Where: Will be announced after booking your session

When: April 9th, 20 minute sessions throughout the day

Cost: $75 (100% of this fee will be donated to Kids Fight Cancer)

What you’ll receive: 20 minutes of photography time for up to 2 children, up to 10 custom edited proofs in your gallery to choose from and two 5×7 prints. (you can purchase two blocks of time if you would like to capture your entire family) PLUS: 50% off any additional prints or products!

Pet Photographer | Casting Call for Cute Pets

Julia Franzosa Photography and another Santa Barbara Photographer, Ann Purdy Photography, will be teaming up for a charitable project in the next few months. In the meantime, we need some super cute furry models. If you have a young puppy, small dog, or even a big unique dog send me a photo and we may use your dog as a barksmodel (spokesmodel) for our event. If you have questions at all do not hesitate to call or email. A small hint about our event, it involves dogs, a studio, and charitable donations. =) We have one barksmodel already, you may recognize him from previous posts… My sweet Benny!

Miss J didn’t take a good nap before our shoot, so we got off to a little bit of a rough start in the afternoon. She was a bit grumpy for the first part of our portrait session, but in the end we got some beautiful smiles from her. I had a lovely time, thank you so much for your support of Haiti!

Share the Love with Haiti Mini Sessions

When I heard about the devastation that occurred in Haiti on January 12th, I wanted to do something to help. I am sure many of you felt this same way and now I am presenting a wonderful way for us to all help. I will be holding “Share the Love” mini Valentine’s Day sessions on February 6th in Santa Barbara. Together we can help rebuild the lives of those affected by this great tragedy, in times like these, every little bit helps. By booking a “Share the Love” mini session, you will receive precious images of your children and help those in need. Show your children the importance of helping others and sharing love! I have joined “Photographers for Haiti” so that I can do my part and would like to ask you for your help too.

100% of the session fees and 50% of all additional proceeds will be donated to Thirst Relief International “Before the 7.0 earthquake that destroyed much of Haiti on January 12th, 80% of Haitians lacked access to safe, clean drinking water. Long after the dust settles and emergency responders return to their homes, Thirst Relief will still be there working to bring long-term, sustainable, clean water solutions that will serve as a building block for the future of the Haitian people.”
