Chicago Pet Photographer | Here goes nothing….

Today I met with a new super awesome photographer friend… We chatted about a lot of stuff and it felt like we were old friends cut from the same cloth! Besides a new friend, the number one thing I took away from our coffee conversation was that I needed to blog more. I need to blog more sessions obviously, I am so SUPER backlogged (I don’t think I could ever catch up) so I am just going to start from scratch. I also need to blog more about me and my life… I mean, I know you are all just dying to read/see the (un)fabulous life of a 20-something year old photographer in Chicago. So here goes nothing:

This weekend I am watching our neighbors’ dog. Their dog literally makes my dog look like the monstrous beast he is. Benny is an incredibly friendly dog, but an incredibly bad listener… He needs to go back to obedience school, but I will save that for another day. When I got home from work today, I decided I would take some photos of the doggies and (oh. my. goodness.) blog about ย them. My neighbors’ dog, Tootsie, was completely into it. She would sit, stay and even smile… Yep, SMILE! Benny smiles too, but he knows better. He knows when he sees that “big, black box” I am going to make him sit and stay and not give him a treat often enough. Typical PCS – photographer’s child syndrome!ย Chicago Pet photographer in fine art black and white

She is so cute and sweet, right?!?! And then there is Benny, I don’t really know why but this picture of him makes me laugh out loud. Literally.

I also noticed Mr BenChi has a little stain on his nose from when I made Cosmo the best father’s day present EVER. Look!!!

He is so amazing… Well, thanks for reading my first of many and often personal posts … I don’t know, hmmmm… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, you know how I love personal posts!! Those dogs are adorable. That one of Benny makes me laugh too. I bet he’s one of those dogs that loves sticking his head out the window of a moving car. Wind in his face. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Noelle says:

I would just like to point out that you are comparing apples to oranges… A girl-dog to a boy-dog. They are two entirely different creatures! As the mother of a seriously awful (but seriously loved) boy-dog, I am speaking from experience. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Julia (Me!) says:

Thanks, ladies! Noelle you are so right… Apples and oranges, maybe we should have gotten a girl ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oohhhhh, and I realized why I love the photo of Ben so much: it looks like he is laughing. Really hard! Hahahah!

  4. Karla says:

The picture of Benny made me chuckle too.He is laughing!

  5. Amanda says:

Yayyyyy for blogging more! ๐Ÿ˜› And haha about PCS…I was putting the pups through that this morning! I have learned to put on Live View and shoot from the hip…because they get anxious when I pull the camera up in front of my face.
